Oral Surgery Front Desk Assistant – Charlotte, NC


Friendly Dental Group is seeking an organized and patient-focused Oral Surgery Front Desk Assistant to join our oral surgery team in the Charlotte area. This is a great opportunity for someone with dental front desk experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty environment and providing excellent patient support from scheduling through treatment coordination.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with patients, providers, and referral offices. Experience with oral surgery, dental insurance, or specialty treatment coordination is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong dental office experience.


Responsibilities

  •  Greet patients and provide a positive front desk experience 
  •  Answer phones and respond to patient questions professionally 
  •  Schedule oral surgery consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments 
  •  Verify dental and medical insurance benefits 
  •  Review treatment plans, financial estimates, and payment options with patients 
  •  Collect payments and post patient balances as needed 
  •  Coordinate referrals and communicate with general dental offices 
  •  Confirm appointments and help manage the daily schedule 
  •  Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic/insurance information 
  •  Assist with pre-operative and post-operative instructions as directed 
  •  Support the oral surgery team with administrative tasks as needed 
  •  Help ensure smooth patient flow and excellent communication throughout the office

Qualifications

  •  Minimum 1 year of dental front desk experience
  •  Oral surgery or specialty dental experience is a plus 
  •  Experience with dental insurance verification and treatment coordination preferred 
  •  Strong communication and customer service skills 
  •  Ability to stay organized in a busy clinical environment 
  •  Comfortable discussing financial information with patients 
  •  Professional, dependable, and team-oriented 

What We Offer:

  • Pay: $19–$23/hour, based on experience

  • Monday through Friday 
  • Daytime hours 
  • 8-hour shifts 
  • In-person position 
Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
